The clouds weren't as dark the next day as the townsfolk got up and gathered in the town square. The [info]duck ran by waving a stick knocking [info]giantlaser's head around the cobblestones. [info]smurfetts_lamb's ghost glared at it, eyes bulging with water, but she was unable to touch the [info]duck, and it knew it, occasionally flipping off her misty form with one feathered wing.

Only one person was missing today. And the villagers slowly walked through the streets to [info]lorriet's house. The doors were still intact, the windows still up. Byt [info]dragonattack was the first to notice that something was wrong. He pointed through the windows, and the rest of the crowds eyes unwillingly and against their better judgement followed.

Inside, [info]lorriet had been brutally disembowled, her intestines pulled forth from her abdomen and strung around the house like streamers.

SUMMARY: [info]lorriet the VILLAGER is DEAD!

The Serial Killer going after [info]Lorriet confuses me, though. I'm going to take a little time to think, before posting my thoughts for the day.

I disagree. More information for them is bad, but less info for us might be worse. If you DID save someone, it would be good to know who before you die. If you did NOT, then we have an afflicted, and the world looks much much bleaker.

I say bleaker, because the wolves win when they have a numerical advantage. We lost two of our 13, bringing us to 11. We lynch one, there are likely two kills in the night, and we're at 8. Basically, we have one more day of grace before we HAVE to get it right, assuming the Afflicted is in play as a Werewolf. If not, that adds an additional day of grace. I just want to get an idea of how fast we're running towards the end.

Funny - I actually thought that if Lamb WAS a villager, at least we wouldn't have to listen to the antagonistic mutterings ...

Look - I've gone round and round the alternatives in my head (as one does when playing chess).

Either I saved the victim, the BGuard guarded the victim, or the victim was afflicted.

WHO the BGuard can or cannot protect tonight is unknown - Rusty did a good job at double bluffing earlier and gained a surprise round of protection the next night.

Whether I used my potion or not last night is unknown.

The WOLVES don't even know untill tonight if there was an afflicted killed last night.

The wolves will have to try to figure it out and use thier kill according to guesses, much like we have had to use our lynchings so far.

The BGuard knows who he protected last night, he doesn't KNOW if I potioned, he will move accordingly tonight.

Look - I'm not 100% opposed to giving out the info on last nights proceedings, but the ONLY thing we would gain is knowledge of whether or not the afflicted went off last night, and that SHOULDNT make a difference in lynching votes, right ?

If it DOES make a difference in how folks would vote to lynch or not, please explain to me.

That's a really shrewd move, with a few assumptions. If the wolves targeted you, there's no point to this. They know you can't be the Afflicted, so that makes it unneeded. If Rusty is the bodyguard, which I'm not 100% sure is the case, then he's in the same boat. Well, make sure you know what you're doing, but I trust you on this.

Last night COULD have been the afflicted, or it could have been BGuarded, or it could have been a potion save.

They will know by tonight if it was an afflicted, and if not, they won't know if it was the BGuard save or the potion. They won't know for sure which direction to attack in.

Before the Afflicted is activated (eaten by the wolves), the Afflicted appears as VILLAGER both in death and in Seer sightings. As soon as the Afflicted is activated, the Afflicted appears as WOLF in both death and in Seer sightings. If the SEER spies on the Afflicted the night he is eaten by wolves he shows up as WOLF.

The wolves do not know the Afflicted activated until he shows up for dinner time (which will be the next night).

So if the Afflicted was activated last night, the afflicted does not know who the wolves are yet. The wolves won't be 100% certain if he is the afflicted, they just know a death didn't happen.

The afflicted, because of his nature will never be revealed as AFFLICTED. Only as WOLF and VILLAGER depending on his status.

Here's my thinking. The first two wolves were [info]chessiekitty and [info]sonicbunny. Both names with animals in them. That leaves [info]dragonattack, [info]flipperchaz and [info]rustymaggot.

Since rusty has claimed to be the bodyguard, and no one has challenged this claim, I'm inclined to believe him.

And since [info]flipperchaz is really a stretch for being an animal, I'm going to vote [info]dragonattack until a better argument is presented.

OK, since it's coming down to the wire, and i feel pretty endangered this late in the game, here are my feelings of the following townsfolk - NOTE: feelings only, and please, son;t just follow me - I'm the witch, but that doesn't mean I'm better at spotting wolves, I'm pretty BAD at it in fact ...

[info]dragonattack - has consistently offered good advice. feels too good to be true, but I don't think wolf at this point
[info]evilben - is VERY smart, and dangerous. Don't agree with the idea of voting for sheriff that he keeps bringing up, but this alone is not solid eveidence. Seem to meet the not too noisy not too quiet ideal middle wolf-ground.
[info]faymar - is pretty quiet, and has not realy been advocating much of a stance on most discussions or issues. no real feeling
[info]flipperchaz - was relatively vocal to begin with, then fell off the map for a bit ... could be busy, could have been laying low.
[info]gnatdbug - quiet enough, hasn't mad to big an impression on me either way
[info]hungryandhollow - ditto as per [info]dragonattack - has consistently offered good advice. feels too good to be true, but I don't think wolf at this point
[info]rustymaggot - I believe he's the BGuard
[info]snoopyh42 - Is a villager or the afflicted
[info]slojae - not quiet, somewhat confrontational in voting though not argumentative. could be playing a very good middle hand as a wolf, much like [info]evilben.

I protested the sheriff vote before because there was no need for one and it would be too easy to vote someone to the position that would not have the best interest of the village at heart.

I voted for the sheriff now because we are at a point where ONE vote makes a difference, and we have TWO trustworthy* villagers whose opinion can be considered valuable. Now is the time to be decisive so we don't all end up dead!
