"I am the remaining WEREWOLF!" [info]gorillashaman announced.

"And I am the SORCEROR!" [info]cambler announced.

With the EVIL CUPID joining them, the three moved in on poor [info]lorriet. It was thankfully over quick, her broken body tossed aside, a political button was found pinned inside her jacket.

The Werewolf and Sorceror looked at Cupid. [info]hungryandhollow looked a bit nervous from their glances. "So," [info]cambler began. "What should we do with him? Are we going to let him live or kill him?"

"Hmm, I don't know, " [info]gorillashaman replied. "Let's flip a coin to decide his fate."

A coin was produced, it was tossed into the air, turning, flipping, falling back down to [info]gorillashaman's hand. He caught it, turned it over, and looked at it with a wolfy grin . . .

SUMMARY: [info]lorriet the RALPH [info]NADER is DEAD!

Nicely done!
That was seriously fun.
When I was confused about my role, I was being serious. I hadn't seen Joe's post so I played the first day as an *actually* clueless villager.
I was hoping to be the afflicted from the start and after the SEER scanned me and the wolves had to eat me that night, I figured my odds were pretty good if I could just live through the day. Who knew that one of the wolves was trying to get rid of other wolves?

When's the next one?
I've played the live version a bunch, but almost always as the GM. It's quite difficult as a player.

Oh, and [info]gorillashaman, don't let me forget about the booze. I'll try to remember when I come down to SLO next and find a way to get in touch with you. After a wedding and going to ComicCon, I'm looking forward to doing not much for a while.

Oh, and after reading the Watcher posts now that the game is over, I'm not THAT bad at figuring out who the wolves are. I was, as [info]Stride and later Daedalus figured out, deliberately shilling for [info]Gorillashaman in the hopes of a Lover Victory. I had no idea [info]Cambler was Sorcerer, though.

This was pretty fun. I was more active in this game than the previous ones I'd played. And I think I did pretty well.

I just have to remember not to let my feelings about people from the real world impact how I play the game. *glares at [info]Gorillashaman* I felt bad that people were suspecting him, so he just wasn't on my radar. It didn't hurt that he voted for wolves early on in the game.

Good game, folks.

don't beat yourself up. Everyone here has gone after someone they thought was the wolf, that later turned out to be a villager. Hell, I was the deciding vote in the last round of my first game, and I got tricked by the wolf into handing him the victory.

Just remember, for the most part, don't carry behaviors over from game to game. They're all different, and we're all smart enough to realize that play styles change based on circumstances.

You almost blew it with the comment re: wanting a lover's victory. Had either of us picked that up a day earlier, things would have gone differently.

But isn't that always the case...if only this, if only that.

I knew [info]Gorillashaman was a wolf. I was shielding him from the real villagers because I wanted a Lover Victory. Don't feel guilty for my death, I knew it was coming and I went willingly.

I know, it was a risky move, but as an exposed villager I was dead meat unless I could get [info]Gorillashaman to pick up on the fact that I was supporting him. I really didn't have a choice but to take the chance... and he still almost ate me. But for a coin flip, it might have turned out very differently.

As for being eaten, i accept it as the necessary sacrifice to see my poor Lovers finally win one... besides, I've got a 50/50 chance of surviving the cliffhanger ending :P

You kept us all off balance so long that there was too little information. Well done.
The fact that there were seven evils or potential evils (4 wolves, Sorcerer, Afflicted and Dark Cupid) made the likelihood for party wipe pretty high.

I started suspecting after a few days, but I was watching both of them so closely for signs of wolfishness - and I wanted one of them to be a wolf so bad, so there'd be a chance for Lover Victory - that I thought I might be reading too much into it. Then around Day 6 or 7 I was almost positive he was a wolf - he said something about Cupid and the Lovers, I'd have to go back and re-read to see exactly what - and the speed with which he attacked you as the Afflicted confirmed it. There were too many players still alive who would immediately realize you were the Afflicted - it was too obvious. If any of the experienced players were wolves, at least one of them would head the dogpile against you to set themselves up as a likely villager. I emailed [info]Parzanese to see if I could win when the Lovers did, but sadly, he said no =( So I decided to go for it anyway.

Ok, let's get started.
Assume that the Dragon Attack is for the wolves to kill the top voted person that was not killed.
The obvious counter is to let this continue until the wolves don't kill someone, then assume that they left a wolf alone and lynch them.
The obvious use of this from a wolf perspective is to try the DA for a few days, then skip a day and let the villagers take out the poor sap that they missed. This can turn into a "wine in front of me" problem.

So what we do is try and get 3 or more suspects each day, and the Seer spies on people who AREN'T suspects. At least that way when they come out, they can give us some verified villagers if nothing else. Those would be my initial thoughts on it, though I'm sure some of the other players can come up with much better counter-attacks.

I'm not sure the "Dragon Attack" worked exactly(sure it left the villagers confused, but it didn't really marginalize the seer). [info]Maniakes was killed by the hunter and not by the wolves. [info]Giantlaser had already been checked a day or two before he was eaten, everyone else I checked was a wolf or became a wolf.

([info]Ragnarok_Now doesn't count in any of this, because I knew I was dog food by then)
